In the world of NCL, cultural enrichment is defined as “creating an environment that nurtures positive identity by recognizing and appreciating the value of differences in each other and the world.” Patronesses are charged with training our Ticktockers how to be more responsible in an increasingly global culture.
Each class has an annual Cultural Event that provides a practical way of educating members in a fun atmosphere while teaching the importance of recognizing and appreciating differences as we become more socially aware contributors in our communities.
Our Chapter also emphasizes cultural experiences through philanthropy by offering the following opportunities:
Ushering at the award-winning Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park, San Diego
Ushering at the award-winning La Jolla Playhouse
Volunteering at The New Children’s Museum in San Diego
Volunteering with the La Jolla Historical Society
